Hi! My name is Gingerbread Man. I am a 2-year-old, male, orange and white tabby cat. I was adopted out previously and have been returned due to no fault of my own. I am a sweet boy who loves attention and pets! I would love to go to a home where my owner works from home or is at least home a lot. I haven’t been introduced to dogs yet. I would prefer to be an only pet in a quiet home with no small children. ADOPTION FEE: $100.

Hi, my name is Bebop Betty. I am a 3-year-old, female, gray and white cat. I am a little bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I’m a love bug and love to be petted! I get along well with other cats. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Julian, and I am a handsome, almost two-year-old, white kitty with tabby patches. I’m waiting for you to come and take me home with you! I like to “talk” to you, or if you rub my back, I’ll purr all day long. Sometimes, I’ll watch TV on your lap or lie beside you on the couch. Did you say teaser wand? Boom! Those are my favorite! I also enjoy batting around milk jug covers and crinkle balls. I get along well with my brother and sister resident cats and my foster brother, who was 5 months old. He got adopted from The Purrfect Bean at the Grand Reopening! We miss him a lot. I’m a sweet boy who loves pets and hugs, and both make me start to purr. I’ll nap beside you, or on your lap, if it’s ok. I haven’t been around dogs or children, and likely would not be a good fit because I am a sensitive fellow. If you’re interested in an adult cat, come and meet me! You’ll be glad you did! ADOPTION FEE: $100!

Hi, my name is Top Knot. I am a 1-year-old, female, orange tabby with white. My siblings and I were all named after hair styles! I am a super sweet girl who craves love and attention. I like to sit in my foster mom’s lap in the morning and rub her face with my face. She can’t put me down until I’ve gotten enough affection! I am on a special prescription dry food only diet for the sake of my gastrointestinal tract. I eat Science Diet z/d dry food. No wet food. I have soft stools (not liquid) and may always have soft stools. As long as I stick to this diet, my system will run smoothly and my poo will not get any worse! I do not like other cats/kittens and should be the only cat in the household. I am great with kids! I haven’t been introduced to dogs yet. ADOPTION FEE: $100.

Hi, my name is Fiddler on the Roof. I am a 10-month-old, male, orange and white tabby. My siblings and I were all named after Broadway shows! I am definitely a bit shy and take some time to warm up. I enjoy being petted by my foster mom. I will need an adopter who will give me the love and patience I need to acclimate to a new environment with new people. I love being out on the screened-in catio, so I can watch the birds! I would do best going to a home with one of my siblings or with another young, confident cat who can show me the ropes. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Illumination. I am a two-year-old, female, Calico cat. I lost my eye earlier this year, but that doesn’t stop me from being so loving and cuddly! I still get around just fine. I LOVE belly rubs and will flop over to tell you when I want them! I also work overtime making biscuits on my foster mom. I have slight incontinence during my sleep time that is manageable on an affordable medication. I do not get along with other cats or dogs – they scare me. So, I MUST be an only pet. I am great with small children! My foster parents are sponsoring my adoption fee to help me get to my forever home. FULLY SPONSORED!

Hi, my name is Roman Rapids. I am a 10-month-old, female, tabby. My siblings and I are named after theme park rides! I am a sweet, but shy girl. I prefer cats to people and would make a great friend for your existing cat! I also love naps in the window sill or whatever comfortable place I can find. I am LOVE other cats/kittens! Hi, my name is Sophie Girl. I am a 3-year-old, female, long-haired, white and gray cat. I am a gorgeous girl! I was adopted previously but have been returned because I don’t like the other cat that was brought into the home. I am a stunning, confident, social, and snuggly girl. If you stop petting me, I have an adorable little trick to bring your attention back to me – I put my paws together and wave them in the air. It is so precious! I am the ultimate nap buddy! I need to be an ONLY cat. I do well with children. I haven’t met dogs yet.

Hi, my name is Finn 2.0. I am a 3-year-old, male tabby cat. My foster trapped and rescued me and my best friend, Gilly. We had been neglected and left to starve. Now, we are living the good life! I am a social boy and very affectionate. I’m not a huge fan of being picked up, but I love to cuddle with my foster mom and be brushed. I also enjoy playing with my foster siblings in the home. Gilly and I truly love one another and MUST be adopted together! We have severe food allergies to everything, but seafood. So, we get a limited ingredient food and probiotics! We both LOVE other cats! I accept new cats automatically; Gilly warms up to them after a few days. We have been introduced to dogs and they make me anxious. We haven’t met small children yet. Our adoption fee has been FULLY SPONSORED by a generous donor!

Hi, my name is Mica Gap. I am a 10-month-old, male, Flame Point Siamese mix. My siblings and I were rescued in the Big Stone Gap area of the state. My foster mom says I have the calmest, sweetest soul. I’m a shy and quiet kitty. Once I learn to trust you and my environment, though, I will be out seeking your affection. I love to be pet, brushed, and to watch birds out the window. I’m Marcasite Gap’s brother and I’d love to be adopted with him. I’m good with cats and kids. I would probably do best in a calm home without young children. I haven’t met dogs yet. ADOPTION FEE: $250.

Hi, my name is Mourning Dove. I am an 8-month-old, female, pale grey tabby kitten with short, incredibly soft fur. I’ll be upfront with you – I’m a little shy and will probably hide when we first meet — but, don’t take it personally! I just need a patient human who will give me time and space to feel safe. I’ve come SO far since my foster mom rescued me when I was completely unsocialized. When I do get comfortable (and I will!), I’m a sweet, intelligent girl who absolutely loves butt scratches and will leap through the air like an acrobat to catch fishing pole toys — especially if it means beating my siblings to it! I’m not crazy about being picked up just yet, but I love being petted and I’m making progress every day. I MUST go to a home with another young, confident cat to take me under their wing and help me feel brave. I haven’t met dogs or small children yet. If you’re willing to be my special person and give me the time I need, I promise I’ll blossom into the loving companion you’ve been looking for!

Hi, my name is Sprungle Jungle. I’m a 3-year-old, female tabby cat with striking markings. I need to be honest with you – I’ve had a really rough start to life. I had to grow up way too fast, having six kittens while living under a shed where I was constantly in danger. When I was first trapped and brought to my foster home, I was terrified — I did everything I could to hide and stay out of sight. But, here’s the thing – I’ve come SO far! Gradually, I got braver and started taking food from my foster family. Today, I actually ask for pets, rub against their legs, and will happily lay on my side to ask for more pets. I’m desperate for affection and my foster mom says she fully expects me to become an amazing lap cat for the right person. I still can’t be picked up and I do startle easily, but I’m making progress every single day. I need a very special adopter — someone patient who will let me go at my own pace in a quiet home with no children or older kids only. I’ve seen other adult cats and seem to do fine with them, and I’ve been incredibly patient with my kittens and all their antics. When I come to my new home, I’ll need a space of my own while I get to know you, plus time with you every day so I can learn that people other than my fosters are kind and will take care of me. Oh, and pro tip – Churu treats are absolutely the way to win my heart! I’m an amazing cat who just needs the right home where I can finally relax and be loved.

Hi, my name is Kiera (AKA Keke). I am a 1-year-old, female tabby cat with white. I am an extremely lovable lady! I am very talkative, love watching the birds out the window, and I LOVE to be petted! I haven’t really shown much interest yet in toys, but I love getting pets. I love to give you headbutts and will give you as many kisses as you want! I do not like other cats and should be an ONLY cat. I am scared of dogs. I haven’t been introduced to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Otto 2.0. I am a 3-year-old, male, black cat. My foster mom had seen me on her feral colony camera for months now. I accidentally got in the trap and she wanted to see me since she wasn’t the one who TNR’ed me. I was only 5.7LBs, had a bad URI, and was missing so much fur-she wanted to at least give me medicine! I was talking, purring, and rubbing inside the trap, so I never went back outside! She gave me soo much love – I would get so excited, I’d make biscuits 24/7! I do really well with my foster siblings (I accept new cats automatically), and I hangout with my pitty foster sister! I’m definitely a foodie – especially when it comes to chicken! My favorite activities are window watching, interactive toys, and snuggling with my foster siblings. I will be shy at first, but my foster mom said I was well worth the wait and that I have the sweetest personality. I’ll bring all the biscuits and endless love to your life! I am good with other cats, dogs, and older (8+) kids!

Hi, my name is Janis Joplin. I am a 7-month-old, female, Tabby and white kitten. I am a gentle and friendly girl who might be a bit shy at first. I’m really looking for a caring and patient friend who can help me feel safe and loved. I love chasing toys with my adorable siblings, getting cozy tummy rubs, and relaxing peacefully in a comfy hammock. I enjoy the company of cats of all ages and would love to meet new friends! I would love to go to a home with another young, confident cat to take me under their wing. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or children yet, but I’m excited to make new friends when the time is right!

Hi, my name is Higher Power (AKA Rex). I am an almost 2-year-old, medium to long-haired, male, white and buff/light orange cat. I was adopted as a kitten but was recently returned. I had a health issue and my mom wasn’t able to afford the treatment. I have a heart condition and will need yearly echos to monitor it. I like to play with any toy and any cat! I also love to find a place to get comfortable and take a nap. I love to be around people. I make a cute chirping noise when I get really excited. I get along great with all of my foster siblings, but I like to be the dominant cat in the house. My ideal friend would be a kitten or a laid back cat, as I like to be the alpha cat in the house. I would also be okay by myself. I should do well in a home with older kids (8+) and with a calm dog. ADOPTION FEE: $75!

Hi, my name is Nordic. I am an 8-month-old, male, Siamese mix kitten. Hello humans – prepare to be loved! I am a regal boy with one weak eye. My eyelid was fused shut from birth. So, I have had three surgeries to repair it. While my bad eye doesn’t look great, I can see, and it should only continue to improve. Are you looking for a playful kitten that gets along with other cats and likes to be held like a baby? Look no further – I am your kitten! I only have one requirement for you – you must give me neck kisses on a regular basis. I enjoy playing with well-behaved young children, but I have not met a dog yet. Because I am easy going, I might be okay with one after an appropriate introduction period.

Hi, my name is Keen. I am a 6-month-old, male, black kitten. I have a purr a lion would be proud of! I’m a playful, but gentle boy. I love to play with my siblings and create my own games. I’m a very confident and curious little house panther with a ton of energy! What a purr-sonality! I’m a well-adjusted cat who thrives in both quiet and active environments. Come and meet me so I can win over your heart! I am good with other cats/kittens. I haven’t been introduced to dog or to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Chucky. I am a 6-month-old, male, black kitten. I am very cuddly and LOVE to be near my human! I like to “help” my foster mom work by sitting on her laptop. I am also still very much a kitten and love to play with toys and with my foster siblings. I am looking for a forever home – could it be with you? I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet. My adoption fee has been FULLY SPONSORED by a generous donor!

Hi, my name is Adrienne. I am a 3-year-old, female, solid gray cat. I hear you might be looking for a new roommate, and I’d love to apply! I’m a gentle, extremely friendly girl who believes companionship should be cozy. At night, I’d happily sleep beside you, and during the day, I’m perfectly content claiming a respectable portion of the couch (sharing is negotiable, but affection is guaranteed). I’m endlessly sweet and happiest just being near my people — quietly observing, following you from room to room, and keeping you company without ever being overwhelming. I have a calm nature, but still love a good toy and a little playtime before settling back in beside you. I’d be happy as a solo star or living with other calm cats, and I’d likely do great with children, too. Because I’m so easygoing, I fit into most homes — simply bring a soft presence, a lot of love, and maybe a churu or two. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate lady who turns a house into a home, I just might be your gal.

Hi, my name is High Wire. I am a 10-month-old, female, Gray Tuxedo kitty. I am a confident and playful girl who is in search of a special home. I experience urine/bowel incontinence due to a tail pull injury when I was younger. I DO use the litterbox, but I have learned that wearing diapers gives me more freedom to explore the home. My foster mom gives me breaks with the diaper off in an easy to clean room to help avoid any diaper irritation. She also takes me outside on a leash for walks! I love to talk and will greet you with a welcoming meow each day. In my foster home, I spend time with other cats and dogs and do just fine with them. I have not been introduced to children yet. My adoption fee has been FULLY SPONSORED by a generous donor!

Hi, my name is Marleigh. I am a one-year-old, gorgeous, black bullseye tabby. My color and coat pattern is not very common. I absolutely love other cats, and I am the best babysitter for younger kittens. I am very patient and motherly. I didn’t have the most loving and nurturing kittenhood. This makes me shy around new people, but I so want to be loved. My foster home was extremely loving and they did bring me out of my shell. I stopped hiding and wanted to be part of the family. All of my foster brothers and sisters also helped me to be more outgoing. I love pets and to be with you, but I’m still afraid to be picked up. I do enjoy climbing cat trees, and especially love all types of wand toys to try and catch. I would love to be your couch/bed buddy – I just need the right person or family to be patient and shower me with love. I would do best in a home that is on the quieter side, with children over 12 and a cat buddy to keep me company when we are alone. If you think I may just be the cat you are looking for, please take me home! I have not met dogs.

Hi, my name is Snow Day. I am a female Calico cat. My estimated age when I was rescued was 1 year old. However, after a close examination of my mouth, it was determined that I am older than that. I am going to have most of my teeth removed, because the roots are decaying. I am still eating dry and wet food well, and I’m waiting patiently for Purring Hearts to raise the funds to make it happen. I was a busy mom, who had two litters of kittens to raise. Purring Hearts has given me a safe place to relax, and make every day a snow day. I am a bit reserved initially, and warm up slowly to new surroundings. I love being petted on the head! I enjoy sitting in cat tunnels and having a clean litter box. I am quite fascinated with ball track toys and cat trees. I am a happy girl when I see that food is coming. I prefer not to be picked up. I MUST be adopted with my daughter, Shake Your Flakes. She has been by my side her whole life. She is the trailblazer when we are in a new place, and I follow when I see the way is safe. We still snuggle, play, and window watch together. I am shy, but not mean towards, other cats and dogs. I would do best with calm pets after a slow introduction. I’m not a fan of kittens, other than my own. I would do best going to a quiet, calm home with older (12+) or no kids.

Hi, my name is Shake Your Flakes. I am a 9-month-old, female, Dilute Calico. I am a friendly and active girl, after I get comfortable in my new surroundings. I LOVE head and chin scratches, and shoulder massages. I like to sit on my foster mom’s desk while she works, and try to get pets when I can. My favorite toys are springs and the ball track toys. There is often either food or a spring toy in my mouth! When my food and water dish get low, I put springs in them to let my foster mom know that I need more. I MUST go home with my mom, Snow Day. I have been by her side my entire life. She still looks after me and lets me snuggle with her, even after I run around like crazy. Both of us are more outgoing when each other is around, and we love window watching together. I will be the first one to get a feel around, and Mom will follow. I get along with other cats/kittens after slowly getting to know them. I’m okay with having dogs around when they are calm, but I get nervous when they start running around me. I have not met young children yet.

Hi, my name is Little Girl. I am a 10-month-old, female, black cat. I was rescued from a harsh life outside and am still getting used to people and living indoors. I am a sweet girl and love other cats! I have been introduced to dogs and kids, as well. I would love to go to a home with another young, confident cat to show me the ropes.

Hi, my name is Big Boy. I am a 10-month-old, male, black cat. I was rescued from a harsh life outside and am still getting used to people and living indoors. I am a sweet boy and love other cats! I have been introduced to dogs and kids, as well. I would love to go to a home with another young, confident cat to show me the ropes.

Hi, my name is Auntie Em. I am a 2-year-old, female, tabby cat. I am pretty shy at first, but if you come to me slowly, I will love lots of pets! I like to get affection and be held. I will sometimes hide, but the laser toy will bring me right out. I am curious, but cautious. I do well with my kitten, Glinda. I have not been introduced to other cats, dogs or children.

Hi, my name is Shelley. I am a 2-year-old, male, gray cat. I was found outside by an Animal Control officer and was taken to a local shelter. Purring Hearts took me from the shelter to give me a better chance at finding a forever home. My foster mom says that I am a sweet and silly boy who is very curious, but still very shy. She is helping me to understand that I can trust people. I love my wet food and am loving the indoor life! I would love a patient adopter who will give me the time that I need to adjust to a new environment. I haven’t met other adult cats, dogs, or kids yet and would likely prefer a calm home.

Howdy, y’all! My name is Texas. I am a 6-month-old, female, black kitten. Purring Hearts took me from another in-state rescue to give me a better chance at finding my forever home. I am a shy girl who started off nervous at the shelter, but I’m slowly coming out of my shell. With a gentle, patient approach, I’m beginning to show my sweet and playful side. I would do best in a home with another friendly cat to guide me or in a household with other cats who can help me feel safe and confident. I am ready to blossom with the right feline friend and a loving family! I am great with other cats. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children.

Hi, my name is Moosy. I am a 9-month-old, male, tabby cat. I am a sweet boy! I get a bit jumpy when receiving pets, but I quickly become comfortable and will lean into them. I love being held and especially LOVE watching the mice on Cat TV! I enjoy toys and interactive cat games, but I am OBSESSED with watching the mice on Cat TV. I love treats and am very treat-motivated, and I can also be quite talkative. I get along great with other cats and have been introduced to a dog. I am wary of my foster’s dog, but am building trust. I haven’t met small children yet.

Hi, my name is Belgian Ale, but my foster mom calls me Ginny. I am a 1-year-old, medium-haired, female, tabby with white. I have been a wonderful mom to my 4 kittens, and now it’s time for me to find my own forever home! I was very skittish at first and would only approach my foster mom because she was baby-talking to my babies. I have escaped our room a couple of times, and my foster mom’s adult cats didn’t phase me, but I am very scared of dogs! I love my babies, but if I have to be separated from them, I will adjust. I am still skinny from giving birth, nursing, and waiting for my kittens to finish eating so I can clean up the leftovers. I am very gentle, but very shy. I would prefer a quiet, calm home with a patient adopter who will give me the time I need to adjust to a new environment.

Hi, my name is Overwatch. I am a 4-month-old, male, tabby kitten. My siblings and I were named after popular video games! My foster mom says that I am a runner, am hard to catch and quick to escape because I just love to play, play, play! I am also very possessive of certain toys. I love to play with toys and with my siblings. I turn into a purr machine once I finally settle down for a cuddle. I am good with other cats/kittens. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi! My name is Seize the Grey. I am a 2-year-old, female, gray tabby cat with white! My sister, Cloud Computing, and I were adopted as kittens, and have been returned due to no fault of our own. Our owner has fallen on hard financial times and cannot afford to keep us. I am a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, you can pick me up and rub on me and I’ll relax and enjoy the attention. As a kitten, I loved to play with the wand toy, wrestle with my siblings, climb on you and play “Queen of the Mountain.” When you hold me, I will purr. Since my sister and I have always been together, we MUST be adopted together! We have not met other cats, dogs, or small children. ADOPTION FEE: $150 for the PAIR.

Hi! My name is Cloud Computing. I am a 2-year-old, female, Dilute Tabico kitten! That means that I have dilute calico colors (gray, white, and orange) AND tabby markings. My sister, Seize the Grey, and I were adopted as kittens, and have been returned due to no fault of our own. Since I have always been with my sister, we MUST be adopted together! We have not met other cats, dogs, or small children. ADOPTION FEE: $150 for the PAIR.

Hi, my name is Bali! I am a 5-month-old, female, Lynx Point, Siamese mix kitten. I have beautiful blue eyes and a super cute meow. My foster mom says I’m such a cutie! I love cuddling and playing with my foster siblings and have adjusted to my foster pitty sister! I enjoy long naps, especially on a cat tree, and my interactive toys. I will be a little shy at first, but once I’m comfortable, I love pets and belly rubs. I have tested positive for FIV. I can be around dogs and other FIV positive cats. I can also live with an FIV negative cat (and I currently do!), and the only way to contract the virus is through a deep bite wound. Sharing food bowls and licking each other is safe. I can still live a long, healthy life, especially with good veterinary care. I haven’t met small children yet.

Hi, my name is Baby Blue. I am a 2-year-old, male, black and white cat. I was found outside living in a feral colony, but I am WAY too nice to live outside. I LOVE attention and can’t get enough of it! I want to be in your lap and be petted constantly. I also love other cats and would love a home with another confident cat. If you want a snuggle buddy, I’m your guy! I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Einne. I am an 8-month-old, female tabby with white. I am a very sweet, friendly girl. I like playing with the wand toy and I chirp and squeak a lot. I will flop down and expose my belly for pets! I love playing with my friend, Smalls, and would love to have another young, active cat or a cat-friendly dog to play with in my next home. I haven’t met dogs yet, but my foster thinks I would do just fine. I haven’t met small children yet.

Hi, my name is Smalls. I am an almost two-year-old, male, orange tabby cat. My owner died and I was surrendered to a shelter in North Carolina. Purring Hearts took me and my friend, Einne, to give us a better chance of finding a new home. I am a social cat who chatters and makes trilling noises. I like having my chest rubbed, and I like pets and treats. I am not a lap cat yet, but I will let you pick me up. I like to explore. I am a litter box champ! Ideally, I would be adopted with my friend, Einne. If not, I should go to an active household with another young, friendly cat or kitten. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi! My name is Ms. Molly. I am a 6-year-old, long haired, Calico Point, Siamese mix cat. My owner passed away, so Purring Hearts took me in to help find me a new home. I am very affectionate! I love to get in your lap and just be loved on by you. And, I LOVE to talk! I’m still grieving my past owner and getting used to new things – so, I’ll need a little bit of time to adjust properly. As I’ve opened up, my foster mom has learned I’m a little goofy! I’ve started to become interested in toys, and I like my foster mom’s dog! I would do best in a home with no other cats and no young children. ADOPTION FEE: $175.

Hi, my name is Priority. I am a one-year-old, female tabby cat. I am a sweet girl looking for my forever home. I am still a bit shy, but once I warm up, I LOVE tummy rubs and will purr loudly to let you know you’re doing a good job! Just be patient with me and give me the time and space I need to get acclimated – it will be worth the wait! I haven’t been introduced to other adult cats, dogs, or small children yet.

Hi, my name is Adagio! I’m a 4-month-old, male tabby kitten with a beautiful striped coat like a bobcat and amber eyes. When I was rescued, I was very spicy and didn’t trust humans. Fortunately for me, while I was waiting for a foster, the one-year-old cats in the kennel next to me decided I was their little bro! I was fostered alongside Linen and Suede, and they taught me that laps are for sitting in and getting petted is the best! Still, I’ll need a patient human who understands that I am a little mouthy and don’t like being approached from above. I am so worth it – once I trust you, I will crawl into your lap and purr like crazy! My name is a musical term meaning “played stately, in slow tempo,” which is ironic, because I am an energizer bunny and will play ’til I drop. I love other cats and will need to be adopted into a home with another playful, friendly feline who can match my energy. My older foster sibs, Linen and Suede, would be best for me to be adopted with, but I can befriend any cat. I haven’t met dogs yet, and I don’t think I would do well with young children who haven’t learned about animal boundaries. Older (12+) kids should be fine.

Hi, my name is Marlynn. I am a 1-year-old, female, gray and brown tabby cat. I was abandoned by my first family; they took me to a kill shelter. Purring Hearts rescued me and has given me another chance on life. I was pretty reserved at first because of all that I have gone through, but I am ready to find my new family now! I am a sweet girl with a non-stop purr and a primary focus on having you pet me! I love being close to my human and following them around, curling up with them and making blanket biscuits, flopping over for pets, and talking at you when you are not petting me (or I want to ask for pets). When I’m not following you around, I can be found curled up taking a nap in a cat bed or sunny spot. Since I’m out of the kitten stage, my personality has settled, and I am content entertaining myself or being alone for longer stretches of time. I do enjoy playing and have taken to string toys, and have a more “pounce and tussle” play style with lots of “bunny kicking.” So, I like larger toys that I can grab and kick. I’ve been around other cats, but I haven’t reacted well to them. So, I would prefer to be an only cat. I have not been introduced to kids or dogs yet.

Hi, my name is Glacielle! I am a 1.5-year-old, medium-haired, female Tabby. I was rescued from a kill shelter by Purring Hearts and given a second chance at life! I am just a bundle of loving energy and soft fur. I’ve got all the playfulness of a kitten, and all the heart of a cat that just wants to be loved. I’m shy when you first meet me, because my heart and my instincts are telling me two different things; but, all I really want is to run right up to you for pets and affection. I’ll change my mind mid-interaction sometimes or dart away, only to come right back. I’m learning with my foster mom that I’m safe, and it is okay to approach people or openly cuddle with you, and I hope that my new family will do the same! I love cubby holes, being cradled upside-down like a baby while you massage my cheeks and neck, and weaving between your legs while you’re walking. My favorite pastime is to chase feather wand toys through the air – which I get very invested in (complete with air acrobatics!). I also have the fluffiest toe beans you’ve ever seen! I’m sweet and mild-tempered and get along with other cats of all ages. I have not been introduced to kids or dogs yet. ADOPTION FEE: $200.

Hello, my name is Suede! I am a 9-month-old, female, gray Tuxedo who was caught in a trap, neuter, and return (TNR) operation outside a Burger King in Mar-Mac, North Carolina. The TNR folks realized that my brother, Linen, and I were too friendly to go back to the outdoor life! After bouncing around a few rescues, I ended up in Virginia with Purring Hearts VA. If you’re looking for a sassy lady who offers affection AND attitude, I am your girl! I love attention, but I will dictate how I get it. As an independent woman, I WILL get in your lap, but on my own terms. I will tell you when and where I like to be pet – which is often – by shoving my chin and neck into your hand. When I am done, I will give you a gentle nibble. Because of my nibbly ways, I am not a good fit for a house with young children; I need humans who will respect my boundaries. I will need a kitty companion, like most social cats, and while my little foster brother, Adagio, would like to be adopted alongside me, any cat is fine. Let me be your green-eyed queen and bring me home today!

Hi, my name is Fat Cat. I am a 2-year-old, medium-haired, female, white and tabby cat. Don’t let my name fool you – I am anything but fat! I am actually quite a petite little lady! I have a stunning coat and beautiful green eyes. I love anyone and everyone and can’t get enough pets, cuddles, and affection. I will flop over for belly rubs and follow you around all day! With my playful spirit and sweet personality, I am ready to win your heart! I am good with other cats. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi, my name is A Capella. I am a 2-year-old, female, Tuxedo cat. I live up to my name – I love to sing sweet, short, little songs when I greet you for a pet or a rub! I’m a little shy at first and have some anxiety when meeting new people, but once I warm up to you, I am a HUGE lover! I hide during the day for a bit at the beginning, but I love to cuddle at night. I love a good chin scratch or a back rub and am quick to greet you with a hello song and a relaxing purr when I see you. I probably would do best in a home with a calm environment without dogs or children, although I have not been exposed to either! I have not been exposed to other cats.

Meet Bonito and Herring, a bonded sister/brother pair of 4-month-old, black kittens. They were named after kinds of fish. When they are separated they scream for each other – that is why they MUST be adopted together. They both live for food! They love all cat toys, running around the house and lying on all homework that’s being attempted. Bird watching is a top daily priority! They both have been around cats, dogs, and cats.

Hi, my name is Moonlight. I am a 4-month-old, medium to long-haired, female, tabby kitten. My foster mom says that I am a bundle of cuteness! I am the best of both worlds – playful and curious and a real social snuggle bug. I love my toy mice, my spring toys, and anything that moves! I don’t mind being picked up, and when I hang out with my human family, I want to be the center of attention. I love to play with other kitties, and I am fearless. Did I mention I am extremely gorgeous and have very soft fur? After I get settled into a new home, I will steal your heart with loving purrs and demand pets! I haven’t been around dogs or any children yet; so, my petite but dynamite self would need time to adjust. ADOPTION FEE: $200.

Hi, my name is Cowgirl. I am a 6-month-old, female, black and white kitten with severe cerebral hypoplasia (CH), also known as “wobbly kitten syndrome.” CH is painless, non-progressive, and not contagious. I cannot walk or get around like other kittens can, but I will not worsen as I get older. I have very slowly been getting stronger and compensating for my lack of coordination. I am not on any medications, but need physical adaptations in my home to help me succeed. It is easier for me to get around on carpet, because I can use my claws to grip and move myself forward. For my safety, I should not be around any sort of stairs. I am a very sweet and snuggly lap baby. If you are sitting on the floor, I will climb in your lap for snuggles. I only climb into your lap, or into a cat bed. Good thing is – I can’t get on your countertops! I will do my best to be around you, so please watch out where you walk when I am on the floor. I LOVE pets on the head, and will push my head into your hands to get you to pet me. I am active and play with small toys that cannot get away from me easily, such as toy mice. Because of CH, I grow at a slower pace than other kittens. This means I MUST have wet food twice a day, and water and dry food always available to me. I can eat on my own after taking a minute to steady myself, but I prefer that my foster mom hold me when I eat. I am slowly getting the hang of the litter box, and use pee pads if I cannot get into the litter box. Between the way I eat, use the bathroom, and the fact that I am on the floor a lot, I often end up getting a bath at least once a week. I’m not the biggest fan of it, but I tolerate it, because I get snuggles afterwards. I would do best going home with someone who is at home most of the time, or works from home. I get along with other kittens, cats, and dogs. The other animals in my home must see me as a friend, and not a weaker animal who can be attacked. I have teeth and claws I will use if necessary, but I cannot run away if they start to attack me. I have not met young children yet. My adoption fee has been FULLY SPONSORED by a generous donor! My foster mom has created a photo and video album for you to be able to get a glimpse of what my life is like, and how I get around. https://photos.app.goo.gl/J3GHV7s4Psm3PozV6

Hi, my name is Canova. I am a 1-year-old, female, black cat. I am a petite girl with a shiny, silky black coat. I love cuddling and being petted. I like to snuggle next to a human at night and will even crawl under the covers to be closer to you. I am still young, but have outgrown my kitten energy. I’ll play with toys when offered, but you don’t need to kitten-proof for me. I prefer older kids but am used to young children. I haven’t been introduced to other cats or to dogs yet. I can’t wait to meet my new human!

Hi, my name is Agatha. I am a 6-month-old, female, Tortie kitten. I have beautiful amber eyes and the sweetest personality! I love to chirp and talk when I want attention (which is always). I am a very social and affectionate girl who loves playing with my friends and with interactive toys! I need to be adopted with another young cat since I have lots of energy. I am good with other cats/kittens and with my foster mom’s pitty. I haven’t been introduced to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Jaspurr. I am a 7-month-old, male, orange tabby and white kitten. I’m an energetic, young guy! I am very playful and love to wrestle with my foster siblings. I am outgoing, sweet, and confident! I would love a home with another cat who always loves to play. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Oswald. I am a 4-month-old, male, gray and white kitten. Purring Hearts took me from a South Carolina rescue to give me a better chance of finding my forever home. I am a sweet and playful boy. I am a bit stressed at the moment after having moved around so much recently. I would love to go to a home with another young, active cat to play with. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Apache. I am a 3-month-old, male, tabby and white kitten. I am the brave, big brother of the pair — a fluffy, little guardian with curious eyes, a heart full of adventure, and the cutest white chest, mittens and boots to match my sister, Navajo. I adore playing with her, tumbling across the floor in a blur of whiskers and tiny paws! Every wrestling match ends with a proud little strut, as if I’ve won the championship of the living room. I’m learning the art of “soft paws” well, carefully practicing gentle taps — although, sometimes excitement gets the better of me. Mealtime is my love language. The rustle of a food bag turns me into a focused little foodie! I’m equal parts protector, rascal, and cuddlebug — and just enough mischief to keep life delightfully interesting. I am bonded with my sister, Navajo, and we MUST be adopted together! We both get along well with adult cats and children. We haven’t been introduced to dogs yet.

Hi, my name is Navajo. I am a 3-month-old, female, marble tabby kitten with white. I am a petite little spark of sunshine with my bright, curious eyes, and cute, white mittens and boots. No bigger than a loaf of bread, I can fill the whole room with my playful energy. One minute, I’m pouncing on invisible treasures or my brother, Apache, with fierce determination, and the next, I’m skidding across the floor in a flurry of tiny paws. My sweetest magic happens in the quiet moments. I’ll appear next to your chair —light as a feather—curling into your lap as you sip your coffee or work at your computer. I’ll nestle in, my gentle purr warming your leg with its vibrations. I’m a pocket-sized bundle of joy who turns ordinary mornings and busy afternoons into something quietly magical! I am bonded with my brother, Apache, and we MUST be adopted together! We have both done well with adult cats and with children. We haven’t met dogs yet.

Hi, my name is Miss Marble. I am a 6-month-old, female, Tabico kitten. That means that I have both calico colors AND tabby markings. I am the sweetest, little girl with the prettiest coat and long beautiful eyelashes. I’m the happiest when I get to cuddle in your lap and snuggle, but I also love toys and playing with other cats. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi! My name is Cashew Milk. I am a 9-month-old, all white, female cat with green eyes! I used to have a grey spot on my head, but it has faded away. Did you know that only about 5% of all cats are pure white? I am a rare girl! I was rescued by Purring Hearts with all of my siblings. I came down with FIP and Purring Hearts got me the medicine I needed to save my life. I’m on the small side, but I’m all clear now and ready to find my forever home! I am the sweetest girl ever! I want to be with you all the time. I love attention and I love to be held! Wherever you are, I will follow! I love to play – especially with my best friend, Potato Salad. We are bonded and MUST be adopted together. I get stressed out when he is not around. I am good with cats, kids, and calm dogs!

Hi! My name is Potato Salad. I am an 8-month-old, male black cat. I came into the rescue at 3 weeks old with my family. I came down with FIP and Purring Hearts got me the medicine I needed to save my life. I’m on the small side, but I’m all clear now and ready to find my forever home! I’m a sweet boy who needs to be the center of attention. I make my presence known! I like to be petted, but I mainly like to play! I am the king of the wand toy and destroyer of toy mice. I love my best friend, Cashew Milk, and we MUST be adopted together. We wrestle and play, and then I groom her and we snuggle. I’m good with other cats, kids, and a calm dog!

Hi, my name is Burgoo. I am a 4-month-old, female, gray tabby kitten. I am incredibly sweet! I LOVE snuggles and being petted! I am always purring and rolling on my back for belly rubs. I also love to play with bell balls and scratch on the cardboard scratcher. I am perfect for someone who wants a love bug who will sit in your lap all day! I am good with other cats/kittens. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Tetris. I am a 4-month-old, female, tabby kitten. I can lie in your lap for hours, but I always make time for play! I love to run around and play with my sister, The Sims. I love my sister and would like to be adopted with her, if at all possible. My foster mom says that she and I are professional biscuit makers and purr machines! We are both good with other cats/kittens. We haven’t met dogs or small children yet.

Hi, my name is The Sims. I am a 4-month-old, female, Torbie kitten. I look like a gray tabby kitten, but I’ve got orange in my coat! I am super cuddly and love being petted. I can lie in your lap for hours on end, but watch out when I’m ready to play – I am super high energy and love to run! I love playing and cuddling with my sister, Tetris, and would love to be adopted with her, if at all possible. I tend to be a bit talkative when I want attention. My foster mom says that my sister and I are both professional biscuit makers and purr machines! We both do very well with other cats, but have had no experience with children or dogs yet.

Hi, my name is Sol De Janeiro. I am a 3-year-old, male, gray tabby cat. I have the most stunning light green eyes! I was saved from a bad situation, but I am so sweet and gentle with everyone I meet. I am a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, I just want to be right by your side. I would love a quieter home where I can come out of my shell. I am good with other cats. I would prefer a calm home with older (12+) or no kids and older/chill dogs (or no dogs).

Hi, my name is Kuro. I am a 6-month-old, male, black kitten. Purring Hearts took me from another rescue to help me find my forever home! I’m sweet, playful, and full of energy. I love chasing toys, exploring new spots, and running around like a tiny panther. After I play, I’m happy to curl up next to you and purr. I’m gentle, curious, and I like being around my people. If you’re looking for a loving little shadow to follow you around and keep you company, I’m your guy! I’m good with other cats/kittens. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Solitary. I am a 4-month-old, male, Tuxedo kitten. I am a sweet boy who loves to play! I love to run around and chase after toys and play with my sister, Caliboose. She is my best friend, and I’d love to be adopted with her, if at all possible. I am very treat motivated. I’m pretty independent and am not really in to being held at this point – I’m too busy playing! My foster mom says that we are very easy kittens. We haven’t met small children yet, but we are good with our foster mom’s small dogs!

Hi, my name is Noir. I am a 6-month-old, female, black kitten. Purring Hearts took me from another rescue to give me a better chance of finding my forever home! I am affectionate, confident, sweet and gentle. My hobbies include purring, leaning into pets, and staring at you until you give me more attention! I am good with other cats/kittens. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Mokey. I am a 3-month-old, female, tabby kitten. While my littermates were still sizing up the room, I was already halfway down the hall! I’m a curious girl and was the first to explore every corner of my foster home — every room, every hiding spot, and the entire kitten tunnel system — all with the calm, unbothered confidence of someone who has absolutely nothing to worry about! That’s just my way. I’m not bold in a chaotic, zoomies-at-midnight kind of way — I’m the quietly confident explorer who figures things out first and then settles in for a cuddle like I own the place. And honestly? I kind of do! When I’m not on a grand adventure, I’m deeply sweet and affectionate. I love a good feather toy session, but I love snuggling just as much — the perfect balance of playful and cuddly! I’m the kind of cat who will entertain myself and then come find you when I want some love. I am great with other cats and would likely do beautifully in a multi-cat home. I haven’t met dogs or young children yet, so slow introductions would be the way to go there. If you’re looking for a gentle, curious soul who will map out your whole home in the first afternoon and then curl up in your lap like she’s been there forever — I just might be your girl!

Hi, my name is Gobo. I am a 3-month-old, female, Tuxedo kitten. Some kittens want to play. Some want to explore. I want to be in your lap, and I want to be there now! I am a cuddle machine! I’ve made myself completely at home in my foster mom’s arms — draped across her chest, cradled like a baby, tucked into her lap — and I start purring the absolute second I get there. No warm-up period needed – just instant, rumbling contentment! The best part? I have absolutely no shame about asking for what I want. I will find you, climb on you, and make myself comfortable. It’s not really a request so much as a very adorable announcement! I would do best as the star of the show in my new home — I’m a little cautious around adult cats I don’t know well yet. So, a slow and patient introduction would help me feel secure. I haven’t met dogs or young kids yet, so the same gentle approach would be recommended there. What I am perfectly ready for is someone who wants a constant companion. A lap worker. A certified chest napper. If you’ve ever wished your cat was just a little more like a snuggly baby who purrs on command — I am your girl!

Hi, my name is Wimbley. I am a 3-month-old, female, tabby kitten. If you’ve never seen a tabby achieve liftoff, you haven’t met me yet! My zoomies are the stuff of legend — a grey blur tearing through the room with full commitment and absolutely zero regrets! But, where I really shine is with a wand toy. I twist, I turn, I leap — an acrobatic performance that would honestly score very well at the Olympics if they ever added “kitten agility” as an event. And then, just like that, the show is over. Play session done, I am ready to collect my reward — kisses given, lap located, nap commenced. I’m a cat of two very distinct modes: absolute chaos and absolute sweetness. There is no in between, and both are equally wonderful. I am great with other cats and would love a home where I have a buddy to burn energy with — or humans with a good wand toy and the arm stamina to keep up with me. I haven’t met dogs or young kids yet, so slow introductions would be the move there. If you want a kitten who will make you laugh every single day, stare in amazement at her mid-air acrobatics, and then melt your heart by curling up, purring in your lap when it’s all over — I am ready for my close-up!

Hi, my name is Boober. I am a 3-month-old, male, orange tabby kitten. I don’t give my heart away to just anyone — but once you’ve earned it, I will meet you at the door. I am the sweet, thoughtful one in my litter. When new people come around, I take my time, size things up, and decide on my own terms when I’m ready. But my foster mom? I get a full greeting every single time she walks in! I noticed her, decided she was worth it, and now I show up. That kind of loyalty hits different. When I’m not busy vetting new visitors, I’m living my best vertical life. Cat trees were made for me — I’m always up high, surveying my kingdom from the best possible vantage point. Tunnels are another favorite, which makes sense for a cat who clearly likes to have a plan before committing to anything! I am wonderful with other cats and would thrive in a home where I have feline company and plenty of places to climb and explore. I haven’t met dogs or young kids yet. So, patient, gradual introductions would help me feel more comfortable there. The right person for me is someone who understands that the best things in life take a little time — and that being chosen by a cat who really means it, is one of the best feelings in the world.

Hi, my name is Miss Kitty of Dinwiddie. I am 6-year-old, female, Tortoiseshell cat. I am a beautiful girl with a kind, gentle soul! My beginning years were hard for me and, as a result, I have had to have a leg amputated, and all of my teeth removed. Despite all of the hardship, I am a sweet, loving kitty that wants nothing more than to cuddle up with my family and keep them company. My foster mom says I’m the most resilient cat she’s ever seen and nothing stops me from living my best life! I can easily jump on to beds and play with toys, and I love my food! I’m happiest curled up on your lap, purring, and getting all the pets you can give. I haven’t been introduced to other adult cats, dogs, or small children yet.

Hi, my name is Iris. I am a 10-month-old, female, gray kitty. I was found by a rescue in Eastern North Carolina and brought to RVA by Purring Hearts to be fostered. Since I have been in foster care, I have loved every minute! I’m extremely attached to all humans – I love following them around, sleeping at their feet, and watching them work. I rarely speak and have a soft snore as two of my front teeth are missing. I prefer dry food, and Delectables and Temptations treats are always welcome! I’m not scared of new places or people and adjust very well. I’m not interested in sharing my affection with other cats, so I should be an only cat. I haven’t met a dog yet, but I would probably stand my ground. I haven’t met small children yet.

Hi, my name is Raven Ivy. I am a 6-month-old, female, black kitten. I am cuddly, playful, and wonderful with other cats and dogs. I have the sweetest heart. I’m patient, gentle, and always close by like a little shadow. I love cozy naps and being near my people. I MUST be adopted with my friend, Pippa. She cannot see very well and needs me to help her get around. When she cries for me, I’ll run to her and be her “seeing eye cat.” I haven’t met small children yet.

Hi, my name is Pippa. I am a 5-month-old, female, sight-impaired, Calico kitten. I’m a little wobbly and don’t see very well, so I sometimes bumps into things — but it just makes me extra endearing. I’m not a fan of being picked up, but I’ll happily curl up next to you on the couch for cozy cuddles. I love playing with my foster sister, Raven Ivy, and I go wild for toys that make noise! When I don’t know where I am, I cry for Raven Ivy and she will come and help me. So, we MUST be adopted together – I need her. I am good with other cats and with dogs. I haven’t met small children yet.

Hi, my name is Alamea. I am a 3-month-old, female, medium-haired, Tortoiseshell kitten. I am a sweet girl. I was shy at first, but have gotten to like some attention and will purr when petted. I love to play and race around with the other kittens. I am curious, adventurous, and just a bit shy. I will need a patient adopter and a young, confident cat to show me the ropes in my new home. I haven’t been introduced to dogs or to small children yet.

Hi, my name is Ellipse. I am a 3-month-old, male, tabby kitten. I am rather shy, but I have warmed up a bit to my fosters. I will let them pet me, but I don’t like to be caught and held. I will purr when they get hold of me, though. I love to play with the other kittens. I will need a patient adopter, and I would do best in a home with another young, confident cat to show me the ropes. I would prefer a calm home with older (12+) or no children and with calm (or no) dogs. I am neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, tested for FIV/FeLV (negative/negative), and have my microchip. If you are interested in making me a part of your family, please click on the following link to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.purringheartsva.org and a volunteer will reach out to you within 72 hours. I hope to hear from my forever family soon!
